Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Goelzer Envelopes is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment. This role is critical to maximizing uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting a safe, high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, and controls.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct equipment inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and capital projects.
• Support spare parts planning and recommend inventory levels for critical components.
• Mentor junior maintenance team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and production machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Manufacturing, converting, printing, packaging, or paper industry experience preferred.
• Technical certification, trade school training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• CMMS experience.
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or reliability improvement experience.
