Machine Operators - Die Cutters and Envelope Folders

Job Summary

Goelzer Envelopes is seeking dependable Machine Operators to run die cutting and envelope folding equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will be quality-focused, mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and committed to meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate die cutting and envelope folding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Monitor product quality throughout each production run and make basic adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine machine checks, cleanup, and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
• Complete production reporting, quality documentation, and material usage records.
• Assist with material handling, staging, packaging, and finished goods movement.
• Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, and production delays to leads or supervisors.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with strong attention to detail.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read work orders, production instructions, and basic quality specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating die cutters, folding equipment, converting equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery.
• Printing, packaging, envelope manufacturing, or paper converting experience.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
